• where was the sources made, under which conditions?

• what was the intended audience?

• what the purpose of the source? 

Reasoning with sources

• what kind of dource is it (letter, document, diary etc.)?

• Is the source a fact or an opinion?

• is the source an interpretation?

• does the source contain (moral) value judgments?

• is the source reliable (in relation to the question)?

• is the sources representative?

• is the source useful for answering the question?
